WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a proven leader who possesses a growth mindset, positive and passionate entrepreneurial spirit, and takes an innovative approach to business and organizational leadership. Our next Executive Director will lead our highly talented staff to reach their highest potential and will take SENT Topeka into its next stage of growth and contribution to our community. We are seeking someone who knows how to develop high-performance teams that set and achieve strategic objectives. Not only will our next leader have superb people-leadership skills, but s/he will also be a persuasive and passionate communicator and visionary who can bring others into the exciting work that SENT Topeka is engaging with in our community.
Our Executive Director will work closely with our Board of Directors to develop, implement, assess, and adapt our strategic goals and initiatives. S/he will regularly communicate with and engage our Board of Directors to maximize their contributions. Additionally, we expect our next Executive Director to champion our vision to the public through fostering collaborative partnerships and relationships with donors, volunteers, and like-minded organizations.
Our executive director also serves as a director of operations, overseeing the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of SENT Topeka and facilitating the administrative and program elements needed to achieve our programs, initiatives, and objectives. This is done by leading the program staff and providing the needed support, coaching, and resources for needed for program success.
As part of the Executive Director’s people-leadership role, s/he will champion a SENT Topeka culture – fostering our core values and creating a positive, uplifting, safe, and productive work environment for the staff. Coaching, mentorship, and performance management are also a part of this role’s responsibilities as well as talent acquisition (recruitment, interviewing, and on-boarding/training).
Our Executive Director will be responsible for leading the Financial Planning and Management of SENT Topeka. This means s/he will work with our staff and board to create an annual strategic budget, establish and mobilize a sustainable funding strategy, secure adequate funding for operations, and ensure that the organization follows sound bookkeeping and accounting practices. We expect that our next Executive Director will provide regular and timely updates to the Board of Directors regarding revenues and expenditures.

WHAT TO EXPECT
