SENT Inc. Launches Transportation Program to Improve Health Outcomes in Southeast Topeka
Topeka, KS – SENT Inc. is proud to announce the launch of the SENT Transportation Program, a new initiative designed to break down transportation barriers and improve access to essential health and advocacy services for individuals and families in Southeast Topeka.
Starting March 3, 2025, the program will provide no-cost transportation to individuals facing mobility challenges, ensuring they can attend medical appointments at the Southside Wellness Clinic, SENT mental health services, SENT substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, and SENT neighbor advocacy meetings.
“Transportation should never be the reason someone can’t get the care and support they need,” said Johnathan Sublet, Executive Director of SENT Inc. “By offering this service, we’re not just providing rides—we’re opening doors to better health, stability, and opportunity. This is one more step toward making Kansas the healthiest state in the nation.”
How It Works
The SENT Transportation Program is available to individuals living within a 10-mile radius of the SENT office. Transportation options include:
- Bus passes
- Metro-on-Demand (MOD)
- Uber/Lyft rides
- Other private transportation services
Access to transportation will be provided as needed, based on availability and approval from SENT staff. There is no limit to how often an individual may use the service.
Impact on Health & Community Well-being
By eliminating transportation barriers, this program will:
- Increase access to healthcare – Ensuring individuals receive medical treatment, mental health support, and addiction recovery services.
- Enhance family stability – Helping neighbors access critical advocacy services that lead to long-term self-sufficiency.
- Strengthen community resilience – Providing safe, reliable transportation that supports overall well-being.

To request transportation, individuals should contact their SENT provider or reach out to Bonnie Logan at 785-783-2535, ext. 304, for assistance scheduling transportation services. For more information on the program, contact Tricia McCourt at 785-783-2535, ext. 301.
