Joy Meets Wellness at SENT Inc.’s Annual Halloween Costume Giveaway & Child Mental Wellness Fair

Free Costumes, Mental Health Activities, Flu Shots, and Pantry Access — All in One Morning for Families

Topeka, KS — On Saturday, October 11, 2025, SENT Inc. will host its Annual Halloween Costume Giveaway and Child Mental Wellness Fair from 9:00–11:00 AM at 455 SE Golf Park Blvd. This free event blends the joy of Halloween with intentional support for physical and emotional health — offering families access to resources that make a difference.

Backed by dedicated partners including Healthy Blue, Hi-Crest NIA, Fellowship Hi-Crest, and KVC Kansas, this event is designed to meet real needs in our community with creativity, dignity, and fun.

Why It Matters: Mental Wellness Is Essential

Mental wellness is a foundational part of a child’s development. In a time when youth are facing increased rates of anxiety, depression, and stress, providing children with tools to manage emotions and build resilience is not a luxury — it’s a necessity. Events like this equip families with practical strategies and resources while making support accessible in an engaging, approachable way.

Last year’s event saw over 370 participants from 19 zip codes, with 131 children completing mental health “passports” and learning vital emotional wellness strategies. 82% of families who attended were enrolled in assistance programs such as SNAP or WIC, highlighting the significance of accessible, no-cost programming in under-resourced areas.

What to Expect at the Event

FREE Halloween Costumes
Families can shop a wide selection of free, new-and-gently-used Halloween costumes — no sign-up required. Children of all ages can find something that brings them joy this season.

Child Mental Wellness Fair
Kids will receive a “passport” to visit interactive stations designed to teach healthy coping skills, emotional expression, and mindfulness. Fun tools like bubbles, happy glasses, and stress-relief toys help turn learning into play.

To help families stay healthy through flu season, flu shots will be offered on-site at no cost for qualifying individuals.
