TOPEKA (KSNT) – SENT Inc. Topeka hosted its annual Halloween costume giveaway and child mental wellness fair today.

With Halloween less than three weeks away, the non-profit offered free Halloween costumes for children.

Children received “passports” to interactive mental wellness stations to help teach them healthy coping skills, mindfulness and emotional expression. Free flu shots were provided, as well as food pantry for families to fill up on groceries.

“Many of the things we do here at SENT, we have started them because we identified a need in the community,” Tricia Sublet, Mental Health Director at SENT Inc. said. “So when this event started, we said, ‘Hey, how can we reduce some barriers for families,’ and we know Halloween is fun, we don’t want kids to miss out on that opportunity.”
