TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A southeast Topeka program is helping teens ‘level up’ in their goals to live free of drug and alcohol addiction.

Brail Watson leads SENT Topeka’s ‘Level Up’ program. He visited Eye on NE Kansas to share information about it.

Watson said Level Up is part of SENT’s objective to move the needle on substance use disorder prevention, particularly with teens.

Right now, it’s incorporated into their Campus Connections programs. But Watson said they’re working with True To Life Ministries in Texas to reach more of the community.

Watson said SENT is looking for volunteers to work with students and be a positive influence. In addition, funding partners are needed in order to keep the program going.

Fellowship Hi-Crest and SENT are funding a six-month pilot program they’ll launch with four Avondale Academy students. SENT also is open to expanding the program to additional organization partners.

People interested in learning more about Level Up and a training session coming up November 10th may email Watson at bwatson@senttopeka.com.
