It started with the Topeka Rescue Mission’s NET Reach program in 2013, and has continued with the founding of the SENT organization in 2018.
SENT executive director Johnathan Sublet visited Eye on NE Kansas to share how their wraparound approach works to create change.
Sublet explained that no single solution can work on its own. He said families experience many pressures all at once, and continued stress in one area can undo progress in another.
SENT works to address the range of needs together. Sublet said their programs coordinate meeting housing, food, physical health, mental health, education and workforce supports.
Sublet said the organization works to build trust with families so they accept the services.
SENT is based out of the former Avondale East Elementary School building, 455 SE Golf Park Blvd. Learn about SENT at SENTTopeka.com.
