SENT Topeka opens new weekly food pantry

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Sent Topeka launched the southside filling station on Aug 27. It is open to anyone who needs assistance with household needs.

“We’re not doing income restrictions or putting people through a whole bunch of hoops because that lowers the dignity of a person. We trust our friends and neighbors to be truthful just like we want them to trust us about our words,” said Sent Founder Johnathan Sublet.

The community is invited to shop the client’s choice food pantry to get what they need for their dinner table or cleaning closest.

“We have three times that the pantry is open each week. On Tuesday mornings, Wednesday afternoons, and Thursday evenings. Those times are key because we already have people in the building taking advantage of other services,” said Sublet.
