TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The non-profit, SENT Topeka, has mentioned it has to scale back service out of its new food pantry after encountering a staggering demand in its first week.
SENT Topeka opened the Southside Filling Station last week, offering up to 150 people a day food and household items.
However, that number is dropping to 50 visitors a day as the group pursues more funding to sustain a larger daily number in the future.
The pantry is located at 455 Southeast Golf Park Blvd and is open Tuesday mornings, Wednesday afternoons, and Thursday evenings.
