[Topeka, KS] — SENT, Inc. has entered into an agreement to transition the ownership and operation of SENT Prep to Patterson Family Child Care Center, effective September 27, 2024. This decision marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing quality early childhood education and support for families in our community.
Founded in 2021 after the closure of Kennedy Academy, SENT Prep has served as a vital resource for early childhood education, nurturing children from cradle to career. Over the past three years, it has been an honor for SENT to support families and witness the growth and learning of the children in our care.
At the heart of SENT’s mission are two core values: leadership development and a wholistic approach to education. Leadership development emphasizes the importance of recognizing and nurturing the inherent leaders within our community, while a wholistic approach underscores our commitment to caring for the entire ecosystem that supports our children. We believe that deepening our partnership with Patterson Family Child Care Center will enhance the educational opportunities available to the children we serve.
Patterson Family Child Care Center has been a trusted caretaker in the community for many years, including for the children of our team members. We are confident in their ability to expand upon the foundation we have built and care for even more children in our community.
Importantly, SENT will continue to provide all of its wraparound services offered through its Family Resource Center to the students and staff of SENT Prep under its new ownership by Patterson Family Child Care Center. These services include case management, mental health resources, substance-use disorder support, assistance with food insecurity, onsite trauma-informed occupational therapy, and collaboration with our other community partnerships.
As we move forward with this transition, we are reminded of the incredible power of partnerships in fostering health and transformation within our communities. Together, we can create a supportive environment that empowers families and nurtures children, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. By joining forces with Patterson Family Child Care Center, we are confident that we can enhance the educational experience for our children and strengthen the community we serve.
Thank you for your continued support and trust in our mission. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families, cultivating a brighter future for all.
