SENT Inc. Expands Access to Mental Health Services in Southeast Topeka with New Mental Health Specialist Hire

Topeka, KS — SENT Inc. is proud to announce the newest addition to its Mental Health and Wellness team: Char’dae C. Bell, M.A., who joins as Mental Health Specialist. Char’dae brings more than a decade of experience in the human services field and holds multiple advanced degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Addiction Counseling, with a Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy expected in December 2025 from Kansas State University.

This strategic hire supports SENT’s ongoing commitment to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health care in Southeast Topeka—particularly in the Hi-Crest neighborhood, where mental health disparities are often compounded by systemic barriers and limited access to care.

Char’dae will serve in a community-based role, offering individual and group counseling, crisis response, and wraparound case management to individuals and families navigating trauma, stress, emotional health, and community instability challenges. She will also develop and facilitate support groups and school-based programming to promote social-emotional well-being and equip community members with long-term coping skills.

“We are thrilled to welcome Char’dae to the SENT family,” said Tricia Sublet, LSCSW, SENT’s Director of Mental Health Services. “Her professional expertise, combined with her deep empathy and ability to connect with others, makes her a perfect fit for our holistic, neighborhood-based approach. She understands the importance of meeting people where they are—both physically and emotionally—and walking with them toward healing and stability.”

Char’dae is passionate about eliminating the barriers that often exist between clinical care and real-life understanding. Her academic research focuses on making mental health language and diagnoses more accessible, particularly for families who may feel overwhelmed or underinformed in traditional mental health settings.

“So many people leave therapy more confused than when they came in,” said Char’dae Bell. “My goal is to help individuals make sense of their mental health challenges, equip them with tools to grow, and remind them that healing is not only possible—it’s deserved.”

SENT’s Mental Health Program is grounded in a relational, community-driven model that emphasizes dignity, support, and whole-person care. With Char’dae’s expertise, SENT will continue to expand its efforts to provide critical mental health support in ways that are accessible, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant.
