Domestic Violence and Faith Communities – SAVE THE DATE

Join us on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM at the Hi-Crest Community Center (located at 455 SE Golf Park Blvd.) for “Domestic Violence and Faith Communities,” an educational, day-long seminar during Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the YWCA’s Week Without Violence. This seminar aims to:
Educate faith leaders regarding the unique dynamics of domestic violence and the impact it has on the community,
Share resources and information available within communities, and
Provide strategies on how to best engage and approach potentially life-changing conversations with victims/survivors and effectively understand and guide victims/survivors to a support system.
Together with the faith community at large, we seek to support victims/survivors, transform families and strengthen our communities.
The seminar is free, but seating is limited, so please register in advance at www.ywcaneks.org/wwov. Breakfast, snacks and beverages will be provided.
