TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Halloween can be so much fun for kids, but it also can cause anxiety for parents if they can’t afford a costume.

SENT Topeka can help. Tricia Sublet with SENT and Allie Geist from Oak View Group, which manages Stormont Vail Events Center visited Eye on NE Kansas to tell us about their efforts.

Tricia said SENT is holding their annual Halloween Costume Exchange. People are invited to donate a new or clean, lightly-used costume, which will be given to a child in need.

SENT then will host a Costume Giveaway and Child Wellness Fair from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at their Avondale East Center, 455 SE Golf Park Blvd. In addition to getting a costume, families will be able to connect with local resources, participate in activities and learn coping skills.
