“Letting Go Changed Everything” – Tasha’s Story

For a long time, Tasha tried to fight addiction alone—white-knuckling every day, determined to stay clean by sheer willpower.

But eventually, she came to a hard truth: going it alone wasn’t going to keep her clean.

That realization led her to Narcotics Anonymous (NA)—and to a whole new way of living.

“The 12 steps and letting go of my pride and ego… that’s what made the biggest difference.”

At first, walking into meetings was intimidating. But she kept showing up. And slowly, something began to shift.

“It’s nerve-wracking and hard to do—but it’s well worth doing anyways.”

With every step, Tasha found healing through honesty, humility, and connection. Her proudest milestone so far?

“My 6-month tag.”

She’s living proof of one of the most important truths in recovery:

“It works if you work it.”
