SENT Inc. Announces the launch of GED classes in partnership with Washburn Technical College – Kansas Adult Education Program.
TOPEKA, KS (September 2026) — SENT Inc. is launching GED classes at SENT’s Family Resource Center in the Hi-Crest neighborhood. The classes are free and offered through Washburn Technical College – Kansas Adult Education program. The GED curriculum is designed to be a work at your own pace style designed specifically for adult learners. A certified GED Teacher will be on-site every Monday and Wednesday to provide instruction, assistance and education coaching. By intentionally holding the GED classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings, this opens up opportunities for these adult learners to take additional credential or certification classes on Tuesday and Thursday. While enrolled in the GED classes, these additional classes would be offered for free at the Washburn Technical College campus.
GED classes are one more step in SENT’s cradle-to-career pathway — the belief that from the earliest years of life all the way through adulthood, every neighbor deserves access to the education, skills, and support they need to build a stable, thriving future. A GED opens the door to better jobs, workforce certifications, post-secondary education, and long-term economic mobility.
